Priyanka Barua graduated from Delhi University with her Bachelor of Arts degree, and almost immediately joined the workforce gaining extensive experience at the Taj Palace as well as the Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi. In July 2004, she moved to the United Arab Emirates, where she worked at the Madinat Jumeirah as well as the Burj Al Arab, a career move which provided her with invaluable guest- and event-related knowledge and experience. In order to seek a broader base, she then moved into advertising and publishing with TMF Publications and Hills Advertising, a move which exposed her to another arena in the business world.
