Welcome

Thumnail Since its inception in 2005, the Dubai School of Government has served as a bridge connecting Dubai and the United Arab Emirates with distinguished institutions of learning throughout the world. One of our strongest and most productive partnerships has been with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. The fruit of this partnership—the Executive Diploma in Public Administration (EDPA)—is the first of its kind in the Arab world.

The EDPA equips public sector leaders with the knowledge and skills they need to address today’s complex, multi-dimensional public administration and policy issues. The program is unique in the region, as it combines the recognized excellence of a world class academic institution with a tailored approach that focuses on the specific challenges facing policy makers in the Arab world.

Executives participating in the program will benefit from the opportunity to learn from the experiences of both Dubai and Singapore, two vibrant international hubs and pioneers in modern public administration.

We look forward to the continued success of the EDPA program, to a renewed partnership between Dubai and Singapore, and to the contributions the program will bring to our respective regions.

HE Tariq Lootah
Executive President
Dubai School of Government

Both Dubai and Singapore have emerged as key regional hubs. Both have also played a significant role in contributing to the transformation of other regions. The Executive Diploma in Public Administration represents a significant leap forward in the growing partnership between the Dubai School of Government and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. It will provide a significant opportunity for policy makers and educators to learn from each other’s experience.

Southeast Asia and the Middle East have emerged as key regions in the global geostrategic space. Peace and stability in these two vital regions will have a significant global impact. The EDPA will help to train and develop a new generation of policymakers who can contribute significantly to the development of their regions by introducing best public policy philosophies and practices into their organizations and help them cope better with the rapidly changing world.

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy also hopes to make a significant contribution by sharing the lessons learnt in East Asia, lessons that are now earning global interest as we move forward into the Asian Century.
