The program begins with an intensive nine-week semester, followed by two semesters of study, and concludes with a Public Administration Capstone Exercise (PACE) that involves working with an organization on a specific issue and providing recommendations for improvements. The program requires 33 credits for the degree, and students are expected to complete it in a full academic year if they enroll on a full-time basis. Alternatively, they can opt for part-time studies that should be completed within a three-year period.
The curriculum focuses on the training required for modern management of the public sector. The core curriculum emphasizes leadership and teamwork, the theory and practice of public policy, analytical and communication skills, strategic planning, and an interdisciplinary approach to problem solving.
The School offers state-of-the-art facilities, including smart classrooms, breakout rooms for small group discussions, a blackboard system, a student information system, a specialized library, and a student lounge.
Linking Theory to Practice
Linking theory to practice is at the core of the curriculum, and students will benefit from regular interactions with renowned regional and global in public policy.
- Guest Lectures: Practitioners (regional and international) will be invited to interact with students and share their experiences.
- Policy Debates: Students will be invited to exchange views in structured debates on current issues of public policy, moderated by guest media and public sector personalities.
- Colloquia: Faculty members are team up with guest practitioners to examine and present case studies linking theory to practical application.
