Director of Programs, Executive Education
The Director of Programs, Executive Education is primarily responsible for sales and business development for a portfolio of Executive Education programs, clients and partners. The position will have specific responsibility for developing and growing repeat users (corporate), developing strong client relations with senior level decision makers in target organizations and understanding their management strategies, policies, systems and processes to respond appropriately to their training needs in order to reach targeted sales and to grow the business.
Only qualified and experienced UAE Nationals will be considered for this position, to commence in May 2011 or as soon as possible.
Interested candidates must hold a master’s Degree in Business or Education, and should have substantial teaching experience as well as program development and management experience either locally, regionally or internationally. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have extensive industry experience in the field of executive education programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributing to the strategic development of the Executive Education division.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with current corporate clients
- Responsible for marketing and recruitment for existing portfolio and newly-developed programs
- Responsible for assessing and identification of faculty selection
- Formulation, determination and guidance on course content
- Proposal development, prospecting, and managing client relations
- Program marketing, and managing the evaluation and follow up reports on each program, so as to meet cost and revenue budgets and goals
- Preparation and ownership of Executive Education budget
Qualifications
Essential:
- Current knowledge and experience in higher education with senior administrative experience in higher education - preferred and strongly desired
- At least 3 years of experience in leading, supervising and managing the activities of an Executive Education program
Desirable:
- Commitment to continuous improvement of teaching and learning
- Ability to exercise a collaborative style of management
- Strong team building skills and the ability to work effectively and collegially with others
- Highly developed skills in written and oral communication, human relations, and creative problem solving
- Commitment to enhancing and maintaining diversity among faculty, staff and students
- Well-developed interpersonal and public relations skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, the staff of the faculty and with other members of the school and the wider community.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teaching and research teams
- Experience of developing and maintaining partnerships with professional bodies, partnerships with business associations or firms and with national and overseas educational institutions
- Ability to promote the Faculty and the school in a variety of public and professional forums
