Empowering Leaders. Shaping the Future.

Deans' Welcome

The growing partnership between the Dubai School of Government and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore has matured into the Dubai – Singapore Program. The program offers the Executive Diploma in Public Administration (EDPA), the first of its kind in the Arab world.

The EDPA is an exciting and innovative program that promises regional policy makers a world class education in public administration. The executives participating in the program will have the opportunity to study in Dubai and Singapore, both of which have rapidly emerged as leading international hubs and gateways between East and West.

This is a unique program which combines the analytical rigor of international public policy programs with a customized approach to studying the challenges facing the public sector in the Arab world. Our faculty, from both schools, will ensure that the program contains the right mix of theoretical concepts, empirical applications and case studies.

We at the Dubai School of Government are excited about this partnership and the opportunities it presents to future students. We look forward to the important contribution this program will make to the development of both our regions.

Both Dubai and Singapore have emerged as key regional hubs. Both have also played a significant role in contributing to the transformation of other regions. The Executive Diploma in Public Administration represents a significant leap forward in the growing partnership between the Dubai School of Government and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. It will provide a significant opportunity for policy makers and educators to learn from each other’s experience.

Southeast Asia and the Middle East have emerged as key regions in the global geostrategic space. Peace and stability in these two vital regions will have a significant global impact. The EDPA will help to train and develop a new generation of policymakers who can contribute significantly to the development of their regions by introducing best public policy philosophies and practices into their organizations and help them cope better with the rapidly changing world.

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy also hopes to make a significant contribution by sharing the lessons learnt in East Asia, lessons that are now earning global interest as we move forward into the Asian Century.
